I dream of this past, this future so simple—just cat and mouse and me and him and you. There is destiny and there is fate, and there is so much and nothing I can do. It’s why I’m dragging my body through time, the assembly line after hours, a crushed cog. Make me more than a vessel and I promise I’ll think of you before you, a storm.
