The vessel from which the sound came, sitting large in front a brick wall, possibly had the effect of driving the sound out, towards me. Though, having nothing to do with me, it seemed to boomerang above my head, a sonic yo-yo or rubber band (without the snap). It was fluid, though tight, cycling :
