MY EVEREST

my whole world
is a red pimple
on your left butt cheek
it is my mountain
my everest

curse the healing epidermis
the body’s endless drive
to continue
to survive

this thing is massive
i want to study it forever
this is what i’ll write my master’s thesis on
“Why Do I Love Even This Ass Pimple: The Radical Abjection of the Beloved Body”
this will be my title
it will get me
on tenure track
one day

writing from the body
this is “my thing”
though it is not my body
that i am writing from
but yours
butt yours
