[I REMAIN AN OBJECT]
I remain an object
In a technological world
The house of creation all full of night
We stand in a doorway
It isn’t real
And some astral presence
lingers
Just out of frame
Waiting to explode Inward
To occupy a human setting
With relentless energy
I read by the light of my soul
Conjured in flames
Through my love of this moment
Always this moment
The one that is happening
With roots Sprawling
A tangle of voices
So many other verses
To so many other poems
All the dreams I remember
End with a collision
The way a secret is revealed
With a terrible crash
Or else never at all
