08 May Ottavia Silvestri
SILVER BELLS
one coin
in the gum machine,
candy coated,
muffled
chinaware’s clattering
from the bar.
SUNNIES
a dull thud
and I am
steeping into
the yolky heat
of the a.m.
PEARLY
among the shower’s vapours,
he is,
of the same mild nature of
forgotten blue pens in schools.
STICKY SAP
in the club
calmly limp on the sofa, light as dust
radiating feeble blue in hiccups
dripping,
silently
budding
WHITE SOCKS
If I am
tender
watery beauty
I see myself
in the mirror,
drizzled,
and I seep out
along with it,
nodding «mh-hm»
Ottavia Silvestri is a 22-year-old political science student from Milan, Italy. Reading and writing, especially in English, are their way to cope with the world: they have struggled with depression since a very early age (elementary school), and they experience it by feeling the world and living life as if it were in slow motion. With all that that entails, you can notice this in their works.
