at these edges of nowhere
there is in berlin
there is in los angeles
and in the prairies
or in the desert or just before any ocean
there are colonies
somewhere drifting off
this is where we get to
this is where i find you
what good is my language here
what good are our words?
we didn’t come here to speak
it is spoke
we came to be alone together
some came to be together
they will go back
and be more alone forever
is this freedom?
